Dear Friends:

We have some exciting news to share about our collectibles offerings. Effective immediately, we are offering collectible books for sale in both of our shops, throughout the month. This means we are suspending our monthly collectible sales. The Collectibles helves are located near the checkout desks in both of our shops. The Collectible books will be replenished periodically as new material arrives, just as we replenish other inventory.

Right now, at the Main Shop, we have a number of Easton Press leather bound titles in pristine condition. At the Harry Bennett Shop, we have many lovely, oversize art books for sale. This is just a sample of the offerings that we will have on sale in our shops, during the coming months.

As longtime and loyal customers of our shops and our sales, you might be curious as to why we are not holding our collectible sales right now. We wanted to address your frequent requests to offer more books on popular subjects such as art & photography, and local history, at times other than on our collectible sale weekends. As well as these popular subjects, collectible books will include signed books, books with beautiful bindings, odd and funky topics, decorator sets, more valuable books, and other items you've grown accustomed to seeing at our monthly sales. You will also find a broader range of inventory in all categories throughout the shops, because material ordinarily reserved for the monthly sales will be incorporated into our shops on a regular basis. As Stamford's only retail used book shop, and the largest library book shop in the region, we're just thrilled to be able to offer you this more eclectic shopping opportunity throughout the month.

We simply can't thank you enough for your loyal patronage. We're very grateful for all that you do to support the book shops, whether it is the fabulous book donations you so generously give, or the frequent purchases you make in our shops. The revenue we generate helps the Friends support Library programming. You are truly helping to enrich the lives of many in the community. Please continue to provide us with feedback on how we can best meet your needs through our book shops -- contact me directly at bookstores@friendsoffergusonlibrary.org, or 203-351-8278.

See you in the shops!
